Version one of almost everything we've built was a form, a table and a cron job. Some of those are still running.

## Boring is a budget

Every new technology spends from a small budget of attention. Spend it on the part that makes the product different, and use the dullest tool you know for everything else.

## Write the second version later

Real usage tells you which part deserves the rewrite. It is rarely the part you would have guessed in the planning meeting.

> Make it work, make it right, make it fast. In that order, and stop when it's good enough.
